In light of my recent paintings being heavily inspired by 70s textiles and wallpaper patterns, I just couldn't resist doing at least one painting with a mushroom. This painting is for sale in my Etsy shop.

Miraculously, I am finished with two paintings! I scanned them in tonight because I have to submit images for the showcard for our November exhibition. You can see these paintings in their earlier stages in the images below.

flower growths

Last weekend I did some quick mini-installations, taking the flowers outside of the context of my studio and placing them in various parts of my back yard. I have plans to continue this "back yard series" later this month, when I will be traveling to visit my parents in my hometown. I plan to do more elaborate work with the flowers, and will be installing them in different parts of my childhood home where I grew up. I will be documenting this series and posting the photos online.
